  • If you have lost a valuable item in the library, please check first with the Security personnel at the library entrance or visit the Security Command Centre (SCC) at Level 1, Li Ka Shing Library Building. The SCC is reachable at Contact No.: 6828 0343 and operates 24/7 to see if the item has been found and returned.
  • If you suspect that it is due to theft, a police report has to be made at any police station (or online under E-Services at www.spf.gov.sg). The CCTV footage will then be released to the Investigating Officer (IO) who will handle the case.
  • In the event that you have found other people's valuable item within the library premises, please kindly hand it over to the Security personnel at the library entrance or the Security Command Centre at Level 1, Li Ka Shing library.
  • Lost and found items are managed by Campus Security. They will keep items for one month. After this period, unclaimed items will be handed over to the Police for further action.
  • To claim a found item, you must present your employee pass, student card, or any valid photo ID to the Security Command Centre for identity verification and official recording.
  • Lost items can only be claimed by their rightful owners. Similarly, lost SMU passes can only be collected by the authorized cardholders themselves.
