Users who wish to read the selected book on a device or desktop using an e-book reader will need to do the following:

i. Download the Bookshelf App

ii. Create a login ID

iii. Search and access the selected textbook through the SMU Libraries website > Vitalsource Collection

iv. Click on the "read offline" button

v. Launch app and sign in

vi. Follow on-screen instructions to download the pdf.

  1. From step iii, must the search be performed in the app to download the book offline? I access the book on my via the SMU library website, which directs me to the vital source app and then the app. Using this method, I do not see any download key. I tried step iii but am not able to locate "SMU LIBRARIES" or the textbook in question on the app.
