SMU RDR does not restrict on file formats. 

However, to facilitate long-term accessibility and preservation, you are encouraged to use non-proprietary and open formats as much as possible. If data is in the format of a proprietary software, it may not be readable in the future when the software is no longer available.  

Examples of proprietary formats: .psd, .xlsx
Examples of non-proprietary formats:  .tiff, .txt,.csv
