#NA limit error occurs when the monthly data download limit has been reached for that particular Bloomberg terminal (not based on account). The limit will be reset on the first or second day of a new month. More details on data limit from here.

For Investment & Data Studio, please use another Bloomberg terminal if you encounter this error.

Optional: You can run a API diagnostics test to check if the monthly data limit has reached.

  • From the desktop or Windows Start key, look under Bloomberg folder, click API Environment Diagnostics

1. Click Start under Diagnostic Check.

2. Click Repair.

3. Under Authentication, error message will show "Data request failed with error". The API data job has failed.

Bloomberg has blocked the Excel data access for the individual terminal. Kindly note the monthly data limit is tied to individual terminal and not individual account ID.

For Bloomberg Anywhere accounts, you can run similar Bloomberg API test using TTST terminal test function.

1) Enter TTST terminal test function in the command bar.

2) Select the language to continue with the test. Please click English.

3) Please launch the test, and select Bloomberg API.

4) Click 'Download' to download the Excel spreadsheet

5) When the cell data showed many cell value with #N/A, or #ERROR, this meant the monthly data limit has reached for this Bloomberg Account SID (subscription ID) account.

Please try to logoff and login to another account.
