Q. I want to compare the financial performance of a company against the industry. Where can I find such information?

There are 4 ways to obtain industry financial performance:

In Factiva
Click Company in the Companies/Markets tab
Select a company
Go to Report then Ratio Comparison Report

In Bloomberg [Please Book the PC]
After the Bloomberg company ticker, type RV <GO>. 
Add column to include ratios
Click Avg [located below] to bring out the averages
Output to Excel 

Otheriwise, go to EQS, use Sectors & other criteria to filter out the industry 
Click 1) Results
Add Column for your ratios
Click Avg below
Output to Excel
