The library subscribes to a few databases that index newspapers. The main database for news sources is Factiva.

FACTIVA indexes selected content from local news sources such as The Straits Times, Channel News Asia, Business Times etc.

You can find a list of recommended databases by going to the A-Z listing of databases > Then filter from the All Database Types to Newspapers.

If you are using Google to find news articles, you may be prompted to subscribe to the newspaper especially if you are looking for older articles, the archives or certain types of content.

The library's subscription to online news databases provides a more comprehensive coverage.

Do note that you might not find some articles that are published on the digital version of the newspapers as the online databases are aggregators and may be subject to content licensing agreements.
