Q. I am a faculty member. Can I visit other academic libraries and borrow their collections?

Faculty can generally visit other academic libraries in Singapore. You need to show your SMU faculty identification card and it is advisable to check the library’s opening hours before you go. Some libraries require an introductory letter from SMU Libraries, email library@smu.edu.sg for the letter.

If you wish to borrow a book from other academic libraries, please send your request to library@smu.edu.sg. SMU Libraries will arrange for interlibrary loan and contact you once the book is ready for collection. Note that some books cannot be borrowed on interlibrary loan as decided by the other library.
