Q. I can't download Bloomberg data to Excel, what can I do?

Have you installed the Bloomberg Excel Add-in?

If installation was successful but the file does not appear after downloading:

Press Alt+D (or the gear icon) for Settings menu > Setup > Edit Download Setup > Modify to c:/Temp to download to a temporary folder and click OK

Otherwise, diagnose and repair Excel plug-in.

1. Close Excel completely
2. -Look for "API Environment Diagnostics" icon on the Windows desktop, OR
   -Look for "Bloomberg" folder on the Windows desktop, then double click on "API Environment Diagnostics"
3. When the API Environment Diagnostic tool appears, select "Start." Should any red icons appear, click the "Repair" button
4. Re-open Excel
